What makes you special and unique?
Like Jeremiah 29:11 says God has a plan for me, I am learning each day that God has very special plans for my life, molded out just for me.

What is the best advice you have ever received?
My dad always told me not to let anyone more stupid than you make you mad. I always try to remember that when people get me upset not to let them get to me.

Name one thing you cannot live without.
The one thing I could not live without is God. He is what keeps me going. I know that He is the one person I can always count on for anything. Without God in my life I could not make it through the day.

What's the most valuable lesson you've ever learned?
The most valuable lesson I have learned I had to learn the hard way. I learned that you have to pick your friends wisely, and not to trust everyone because not everyone you think is your friend actually is. I had to go through a lot of drama with a group of girls that I thought were my friends.

Who is your most valued role model and why?
I would have to say my grandmother. She is such a prayer warrior. When ever I or anyone else has something going on the first thing she does is pray for us. She also has the gift of giving. She is always giving of herself, and doing things for other people.

What was your most unexpected moment?
I was on a trip to New York with my theatre class during spring break. We were walking past where the Late Show is taped and Richard Gere was standing out side signing autographs. We all just stood on the other side of the street yelling his name until he waved at us. It was really funny. The same night after we got out of seeing Les Miserables we walked down 44th street with David Hasselholf.

What is your workout routine?
My workout is all the hours I spend at dance each week. I also do crunches every day for my abs.

What has been your biggest accomplishment to date?
My biggest accomplishment is balancing everything I have to do during the week while trying to keep my grades up. I might have dance all day after school and sometimes have to leave that early to make it to play practice. I just try to give everything I do equal attention.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?
The best compliment I have ever received would be being told that others see Jesus in me as I dance in church and other places.

What is your secret wish?
After going to New York for spring break my secret wish has been to be in a musical on Broadway.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
One day I was walking down a flight of stairs at school, and I slipped and fell all the way down the stairs. It would not have been that bad, but I was wearing a skirt and it flew up as I fell.

What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
It would probably have to be sitting at home watching old Gilmore Girls episodes while eating a container of chocolate icing.

What is your favorite movie and why?
It is so hard to pick a favorite movie because I have so many, but I guess I would say it is Step Up. I love it because it is about dance, and people going after what they want to better themselves. Also watching Chaning Tatum doesn't hurt either...haha.

What do you like to do for fun... relaxation... recreation?
I like to go to any sports event at Tupelo High school to be around all my friends and acting crazy cheering for the team. I love getting together with all my friends to eat and then going to a movie or playing Guitar Hero. I also like to take bubble baths and watch romantic comedies.

What would be your dream vacation or destination?
My dream vacation would be going to England to see all of the historical and interesting things that I have read about or seen in movies.

What do you like best about the state of Mississippi?
I like that in Mississippi you can go anywhere and feel like you are in your hometown. Everyone here is so hospitable. It is very comforting to always see a kind face and a smile.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years I will be 27. By then I hope to be out of college working as a Pharmisist. I hope to be married to a good man that has the same moral standards that I do.

What extracurricular activities do you participate in?

Who am I?
I am a very quiet person, but once I get to know someone I feel free to be loud and crazy. I went to private school for first through sixth grade so it was a very big change when I started going to school in the Tupelo Public School District. Although it took me a while to get used to everything and to find wonderful friends I would never change a thing. I have some of the most supportive friends a girl could ever have. If I did not go to Tupelo High School I could not be involved in one of the things that gives me the most joy and that is showchoir. Being in Wave Connection is like being in a huge family. We work together all year to be the best that we can be and this year all our hard work paid off because we were awarded grand champions at the Music City Showshoppe in Nashville.

I have a four year old brother that can be the sweetest and the meanest little boy you will ever meat. Seriously though, he is amazing. I love taking him to do stuff like getting a snow cone after school. My family is so supportive of me. My step-dad is amazing. He has taken me in like I was his own daughter, and that has ment so much to me. My family is very close and without them I would not be where I am today.

Tell us about your platform.
My platform is something that is very close to my heart. My dad died of cancer when I was just nine years old. That was the hardest thing I had ever had to deal with at such a young age. I was very close to my dad so when he died I had a very difficult time dealing with all my emotions. I still sometimes have trouble dealing with the fact that he is gone. I know that if I had had someone to talk to that had been through a similar ordeal that I would have been able to deal with my emotions better. It would have been nice to see someone else that had made it through losing someone that was close to them.

My experince has made me want to help others who are going or have been through a similar situation as I have. Children just need to be encouraged and told that they are not alone in their pain. They need to have someone they feel they can openly talk to about how their feelings. I just want to be able to help those that are hurting from the great loss of losing a loved one.
