Where do you see yourself in ten years? What extracurricular activities do you participate in? Who am I? Tell us about your platform. What are your Hobbies? I enjoy playing tennis and soccer, dancing, cheerleading, traveling and scrapbooking. I spend alot of time with my animals and riding horses. I love going to Ole Miss football games in Oxford and seeing all of my brothers up there. Back to Top What makes you special and unique? Something that makes me unique is that i am the youngest and only girl with four older brothers. They are very protective and supportive of me and we are all very close in friendship. With a family of 7 our house is always exciting and there is never a dull moment. Back to Top What is the best advice you have ever received? The best advice that I have everbeen given is that i can do anything I put my mind to.My grandmother always tells me "I can, I will" and to never say that I can't do anything. Back to Top Name one thing you cannot live without. One thing that i cant live without is my camera. I take so many pictures with my friends and family. I have so much fun with the pictures making scrapbooks and collages. My dad and I always joke about all the time we spend in Walgreens getting all of them developed. Back to Top What's the most valuable lesson you've ever learned? The most valuable lesson I have learned is to always enjoy life and love it because you never know who is watching you and following your habits. Back to Top Who is your most valued role model and why? My Aunt Harriet is my most valued role model because she is always doing things for others with a big smile on her face. I admire her also because she judges people by their hearts and not by appearance. She teaches me to be myself and enjoy life. Back to Top What was your most unexpected moment? My most unexpected moment is when i got a "Raider Award" for soccer this past year. The Raider Award is only given to one of the players on the team. It amazed me because it was my first year on the team and usually it is given to an experienced player on the team. It was a big honor for me. Back to Top What is your workout routine? My workout routine involves 30-45 minutes of free weights, Pilates or running three or four times a week. Back to Top What has been your biggest accomplishment to date? My biggest accomplishment is getting on honor roll for the first time. It is such an accomplishment to me because I have had to work hard for my grades. I have realized how hard I need to work to accomplish my goals. Back to Top What is the best compliment you have ever received? The best compliment that I have ever recieved was when someone told me that it brightenes their day when I give them a hug. It made me feel good to know that I can do something as little as a hug and make someone feel better. Back to Top What is your secret wish? My secret wish is to become a world traveler and to travel in all kinds of exotic places around the world. Back to Top What was your most embarrassing moment? I really can't remember a time when i got embarrassed. I am not the type that will get embarrassed easy. If I do something stupid to be embarrassed about I just laugh at myself. Back to Top What is your biggest guilty pleasure? My biggest guilty pleasure is chocolate. I love chocolate and all other kinds of sweets, that is my biggest weakness on a diet. Back to Top What is your favorite movie and why? My favorite movie is Christmas Vacation because I have watched it every year for Christmas with my family and never get tired of seeing it. Also everytime I watch it I still find something humorous about it that i haven't noticed before. Back to Top What do you like to do for fun... relaxation... recreation? I do many things for fun, it doesn't take alot for me to have fun. I have fun hanging out with my friends and playing with my animals. For relaxing I love going to the beach. There is nothing more relaxing than the beach. Also i love to play tennis for my recreation, i like tennis because it could always be a challenge. Back to Top What would be your dream vacation or destination? My dream vacation would be a beachy scene somewhere like the Bahamas. The beaches make my dream vacation because they are always laid back and relaxed. Back to Top What do you like best about the state of Mississippi? My favorite thing about Mississippi is definatly the hospitality that we have. I love going anywhere and feeling welcomed by everyone from their hospitality. It is so great to be from a state that is so well mannered. I think that is the best quality that any state could ask for. Back to Top Where do you see yourself in ten years? In ten years from now, I see myself being an elementary teacher trying to start a family. I also see myself living on a farm with many animals and a huge yard. Back to Top What extracurricular activities do you participate in? I am involved in Dustys, which is a social service club. I am the membership chairman in the club. I play on the Lamar Tennis and soccer team along with being on the cheerleading squad at Lamar. Back to Top Who am I? Who I am is sometimes hard to explain. I love to be different and suprise people and to be unpredictable. I would define myself as a fun loving person and very spontaneous. I love being around people and meeting new ones. It is just an excitement to me to be blessed with the people surrounding me in my life as I do. I wouldn't trade my friends for the world. I also feel like I have the best family in the world. They mean so much to me and they always know how to make time spent together fun. Having 5 kids must be hard on my parents but they do an excellent job raising and taking care of the whole family. Everybody always jokes with me about being friendly and always hugging everybody. It takes me forever to go anywhere and do something because I will stop and hug everybody that I know. This year my youngest brother, Logan, and I both got voted Friendliest in our school superlatives. I am also a big animal lover and spend most of my free time with my animals.
I am one of those people who if they set their mind to something then that something is going to be accomplished. I am filled with the desire to do better than the best. I am also not afraid to show who I really am whether it is different or not. I believe that God made me who I am for a reason and that I should never hide the person who God has made me. I am also not afraid to stand up for what I think is right. All in all this is who I am.
Tell us about your platform. I feel that it is important for these children to learn how to set and achieve goals because the children in this organization come from homes where they might not be taught the importance of learning new things and setting goals for themselves. I believe that teaching these children to set goals is so important because that is something that the children will use sometime in their life.
Most importantly I believe that if they learn how to accomplish goals then that builds their confidence in themselves. For these children to have confidence in themselves is the sole purpose of teaching them goal setting.
