Singing, Acting, Theatre, Traveling, Spending time with family and friends.

What makes you special and unique?
I have a very unique sense of humor. I tend to joke around quite a bit, so it is very hard to catch me at a dull moment.

What is the best advice you have ever received?
I was once told to never underestimate the power of your own potential. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you work hard and put your all into everything that you do.

Name one thing you cannot live without.
My iPod. I love listening to music, and my iPod is the one way I can always have it with me.

What is the most valuable lesson you ever learned?
I have learned to never put anything before my family. They are my greatest fans, and they will always be there for me no matter what.

Who is your most valued role model and why?
My sister is my most valued role model. She gives me the best advice, so I consider her opinion in a lot of things I do. She is such a beautiful woman inside and out, and I will always admire her.

What was your most unexpected moment?
Winning my title, Miss New South. I was told that the surprised look on my face was absolutely priceless.

What is your workout routine?
My workout routine consists of calling up my closest girl friends and going to the Sanderson Center at MSU. This is the way I kill two birds with one stone by getting in shape and spending time with my friends.

What has been your biggest accomplishment to date?
I consider becoming a part of the Miss America organization to be such a wonderful accomplishment. Anyone who is or has been a part of this system knows the hard work and dedication it takes.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?
I have been told that I have a wonderful sense of humor and that if I tried I could cheer up any individual and make them laugh.

What is your secret wish?
My secret wish is to travel to every country. I love seeing new places, and I plan on doing a lot of traveling in my lifetime.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
Falling down the stairs at my work. I even managed to fall UP the stairs twice on that same night. How is that possible!?!?

What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
That would be sweets! No matter how bad they are for you, I just can't get enough of them!

What is your favorite movie and why?
The Illusionist. It has an amazing plot with a stellar cast to carry it out. I would recommend it to anyone.

What is your favorite color and why?
Turquoise. I even painted my room this color so that it would possibly brighten my mood when I am in there.

What do you like to do for fun... relaxation... recreation?
I love watching movies! Whether it is catching the latest movie release at Blockbuster or going to the movie theatre, I absolutely love watching movies. I am open minded about them appreciate any type of genre. At certain times, it would not be absurd to catch me at a cinema or a movie store on an almost daily basis.

What would be your dream vacation or destination?
I have always dreamed of traveling to Italy. It has such a beautiful culture, and I would love to see all aspects of it.

What do you like best about your hometown?
I love that all of my family lives in my hometown. It makes visits back home much more enjoyable.

What do you like best about the state of Mississippi, besides our food & hospitality?
I love how we have a background for a lot of talent. We have had some of the best musicians and writers to come out of this state. If people took the time, they would really see a lot of wonderful things that our state has to offer.

What's in your CD player or on your iPod right now?
All of my favorite Journey songs. They are one of the greatest bands of all time.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I have always said that my heart belongs on either a beach or a big city with lots of lights. I see myself living in one of these locations with a job I enjoy along with a wonderful family.

Who am I?
If there could only be one word used to describe myself, "constant" would have to be the word to come to mind. I am a young woman who is always on the go. Although I sometimes seem to overwhelm myself, I could not picture myself any other way. I love always having something to do or accomplish. Besides that, I just can't sit still!

I also tend to have a big sense of humor. I am known to constantly joke around, and I absolutely love making people laugh. Whether I am telling a corny joke or quoting lines from the latest comedy movie release, I always let my sense of humor shine through.

Tell us about your occupational experience.
My current job experience is being a server. I love the job because it greatly improves your multi-tasking. It also gives you the opportunity to work and be around many types of people.

Tell us about your platform.
My platform is realizing the importance of after school programs. Placing children in a good after school program has been shown to greatly benefit them in many areas of their lives. These areas include their school, home, and social life. Many people are not aware of the opportunities a good after school program has to offer. They also do not realize how these programs can have long term benefits for children later on in their lives.

A good after school program is a wonderful way for children to realize their full potential. They have many opportunities that can help them stay involved in what they need to be doing and also make good decisions. It is a great way for them to realize that there are people who care about their well being and want nothing but the best for them. With the help of a good after school program, children can stay involved in what they need to be doing and make good decisions.
