I am notorious for taking the road less traveled. Doing things differently has become, in a way, my mission in life. Why walk when you can dance? Why speak when you can sing? This is what makes me special and unique. Back to Top What is the best advice you have ever received? My mother is constantly reminding me that I should live life one day at a time. When I find myself surrounded by deadlines and to-do lists twenty miles long, it is the sound of my mother's voice echoing this advice in my mind that keeps me from collapsing in a heap of frustration. Back to Top Name one thing you cannot live without. I cannot live without music. It is both a means of relaxation and a discipline, a form of entertainment and the vessle through which I worship the God who gave it me in the first place. Back to Top What's the most valuable lesson you've ever learned? The most valuable lesson I have ever learned is that God never says no. He only has three answers: "Yes," "Not right now," or "I have something better in mind." Back to Top Who is your most valued role model and why? I do not have a role model. I do not believe that any one person is close enough to perfection to model yourself after. Humans were made that way. But, a combination of all of the good qualities of the people I have known affect the person I am today, not perfect, but an individual. Back to Top What was your most unexpected moment? Winning Miss William Carey University. Back to Top What is your workout routine? Exercising for exercising's sake tends to get very boring and, quite frankly, I don't have the self discipline for it. Therefore I resort to dance as my form of exercise. It's a fun and unique way to keep in shape and you're more likely to stick to it, because it doesn't feel like work. Back to Top What has been your biggest accomplishment to date? Winning Miss William Carey University, but that's the delight of being young. I've already accomplished such a great honor and my life still lies ahead of me. Back to Top What is the best compliment you have ever received? My parents tell me on a regular basis how proud they are of me. I can think of no greater compliment than to know you bring joy to the people that you love. Back to Top What is your secret wish? It's a secret. Back to Top What was your most embarrassing moment? I participated in my preliminary mostly to make friends, so on the night of the pageant I spread the word that I was hosting an ice cream party after the event for everyone but the winner who wasn't invited since she couldn't get fat....
As it turned out, I wasn't invited to my own party.
