Hunting, fishing, eating sushi, skiing, performing (singing), teaching children's choir, working out, spending time with my friends and family. Back to Top What makes you special and unique? I am extremely well-rounded. I can go hunting or mud-riding one day and the next you may see me standing on a stage giving my best performance. Back to Top What is the best advice you have ever received? The best advice I have ever been given was by my parents. They have always told me that people can take a lot of things away from me, but to keep going because no one is able to take my voice or education. Back to Top Name one thing you cannot live without. I cannot live without my relationship with Jesus Christ. He is what gets me through trial times, and who I go to with all of my problems. Being a Christian is a privilege and I can not imagine life without my heavenly Father. Back to Top What's the most valuable lesson you've ever learned? I have learned that hard work pays off. Through different situations I have realized that being goal oriented is extremely important. I love knowing that nothing is out of my reach if I am willing to work for it. Back to Top Who is your most valued role model and why? My most valued role model is my sister and best friend Lori Hill. I have always looked up to her for her Christian walk and her unconditional love for people. She is a loving wife and mother and knows the importance of contributing to her community. Back to Top What was your most unexpected moment? The most unexpected moment I have ever had was a few years ago at Jones County Junior College. I won JCJC Most Beautiful out of 50 contestants! That feeling was so exciting as I would have been happy to go home with top 12. Back to Top What is your workout routine? My workout routine is not too strict but it has worked for me. I love using the Ab Lounge daily. Every afternoon I lift weights to tone, and for cardio I alternate between power-walking, jogging, and running. Back to Top What has been your biggest accomplishment to date? My biggest accomplishment has been my mission work in Wyoming. I had the opportunity to see God work in the lives of children in which I planted the seed. I led a Bible school class and saw children led to Christ. That is the ultimate accomplishment as a Christian. Back to Top What is the best compliment you have ever recieved? In a journal my sister once gave to me she wrote "when you speak people listen." I think that is the best compliment anyone could receive because everyone just wants to be heard. Back to Top What is your secret wish? My secret wish is to be a professional singer! It is really no secret at all. Anyone who knows me knows that I love being in the spot-light and I live for performing! Back to Top What was your most embarrassing moment? One of my most embarrassing moments was once when I was introducing myself at a pre-lim a couple of years ago. I was a sophomore in college and introduced myself as a CHOFOMORE....ha-ha! It was hilarious! Back to Top What is your biggest guilty pleasure? A great friend of mine makes apples that are dipped in caramel, then rolled in nuts, and lastly dipped in chocolate...oh it is FABULOUS Back to Top What is your favorite movie and why? I love the movie "Facing the Giants." Although the acting is not the best I have ever seen the message is phenomenal. It makes you realize with Christ anything really is possible. Back to Top What do you like to do for fun... relaxation... recreation? For fun I enjoy going out on the water to lay out and ski. It is a mixture of relaxation and recreation. I may not be great at skiing....but I sure do love trying to get the hang of it! Back to Top What would be your dream vacation or destination? I have been to Hawaii and that has to be the most gorgeous place on earth! A dream vacation would probably just be going back to Hawaii, and I would also love to travel to Belize. Back to Top What do you like best about the state of Mississippi? I love our hospitality and being from the country I know there are some beautiful parts of Mississippi. Back to Top Where do you see yourself in ten years? As far as my career goes, I hope to be the owner of a small pageant consulting business in the Jones County area. I would also love to be taking care of a family by then. Back to Top Who am I? I am Holly, a 21 year old who is just starting to figure out who I am and what I am capable of achieving. I have loved being on a stage since my mom carried me across the stage as a baby. I grew up in the country, so I have a great love for hunting and riding four-wheelers. Singing has been a passion of mine since the age of two. I love helping with children's choir and singing in the adult choir at West Ellisville Baptist Church. I am employed as a receptionist at Dr. Middleton's Pediatric Dentistry and I love it there. Working with new people on an everyday basis is something I definitely enjoy. I will be attending William Carey University in the fall to finish my degree in Business. My plans are to eventually open a business of my own specializing in pageant consulting.
Staying in shape is something I thoroughly enjoy, and eating right has become second nature. Sushi is my all-time favorite thing to go out to eat! I am really just a fun-loving girl who has always wanted the ultimate role-model position of Miss Mississippi.
Tell us about your platform. I started at the 1st grade level going into the classrooms speaking to faculty and students on the issue of school bullying. I feel like with pro-active school systems and parents we could cut down on the problem, then giving every child the opportunity to be educated. It is impossible for a child who hates going to school because of what they may face to succeed at the fullest there. We do not have enough punishment for bullies, and it also starts at home.
I have teamed up with Dr. Phil in his quest to put an end to school bullying. The children listen to my story and then sign pledges against bullying. I believe I can really make a difference with my platform and cannot wait to take it to the next level.
