What makes you special and unique?
I am definitely unique because I have never gone with the flow. I know what I want out of life and I'm not afraid to go for it even if it isn't a popular goal.

What is the best advice you have ever received?
Be true to yourself. I think that is great advice for anyone. Your own beliefs and character should always guide your actions.

Name one thing you cannot live without.
I definitely could not live without my mom. She's the one who calms me down, lifts me up, and guides me to better things.

What's the most valuable lesson you've ever learned?
I have learned that God's timing is not like my own, and that no matter what I think, He always has things under control.

Who is your most valued role model and why?
It's a tough choice. But I would have to say that my Mom is. I have seen her personal battles and how she always comes out with a peaceful heart. That is inspiring to me. I also look up to her because I know that she is grounded in her beliefs, and I often go to her with questions that she has no problem answering.

What was your most unexpected moment?
Finding out that I had lost my grandmother.

What is your workout routine?
Pilates and, for good measure, a roll of chocolate chip cookies afterwards.

What has been your biggest accomplishment to date?
Making it through some pretty difficult struggles without losing sight of who I am or what I am capable of.

What is the best compliment you have ever recieved?
I think the best compliment I get is the look my kids give me on Wednesday nights at church. It tells me that I'm making a positive impression on them, and that's priceless.

What is your secret wish?
I don't have one. I wish I did, but I seem to talk too much to have a secret wish.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
NO RESPONSE

What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
Eating until I have to unbutton my pants.

What is your favorite movie and why?
I love "The Notebook". This movie just fans the flames of my Nicholas Sparks infatuation.

What do you like to do for fun... relaxation... recreation?
For relaxation I like to just lay down and sleep. For fun I love to go out with a few of my girlfriends and eat out then maybe go bowling.

What would be your dream vacation or destination?
I have always wanted to go to Ireland. I would love to visit where my family originated from. My ancestors were from Wales, but Ireland is close enough.

What do you like best about the state of Mississippi?
The people. Mississippi definitely deserves the title of the "Hospitality State". The people of Mississippi are nicer than any other people in the world. Okay, I am a little prejudice to Mississippians and no, I haven't been all over the world...yet.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Lying on a beach in Hawaii. Just kidding. I see myself married with a master's degree in Occupational Therapy under my belt.

Who am I?
At my very core I am a college girl trying to make all my plans evolve into a wonderful, fulfilling life. I enjoy being a part of teams and organizations. I think I do too much sometimes. I keep myself busy constantly. My dad does the same thing so maybe it's inherited.

If I were brutally honest, I would have to let others know that I've never been the pageant type. My first pageant that included more than just an evening gown was this year. It isn't that I don't enjoy pageants; I've actually found that I do. I just don't have the knowledge or experience as some do in the world of evening gowns and crowns.

To describe in detail everything that I'm passionate about would be too lengthy a paragraph, so I'll just touch on the big passions in my life. I am so passionate about being the woman God made me to be. I want so badly to live up to all that I know is inside of me. I'm also passionate about my family. I spend a lot of my time with them and I always want more. They have been my safety net more than just occasionally. I know that they will always be there for me.

Tell us about your platform.
Making Miracles Possible: Supporting Children's Miracle Network” is my platform because I know children's healthcare is essential. I also know that it can be a financial burden on parents who already have the stress of a sick child. I used to baby sit a little boy who found out last summer he had neuroblastoma, a type of cancer common in children. This was devastating to my whole community. His parents have endured so well, and have remained so positive despite their sons devastating diagnosis. Children’s Miracle Network has allowed this family to see light at the end of a very dark tunnel. I know things are easier on them because they do not have to worry about the overwhelming bills that come with a month-long stay in the hospital. Children's Miracle Network provides funds to hospitals that specialize in children's healthcare.

I want to be a part of making miracles for families that are unable to absorb the overwhelming financial burdens for adequate healthcare for their children. I hope to be able to raise funds for CMN by participating in several fundraisers throughout my reign as Miss ICC and hopefully as Miss Mississippi! I have many things planned to further my platform and to create support for CMN to ensure our children get the best medical care possible.
