I was told to gain weight so I eat healthy but foods packed with protein to gain muscle and drink chocolate protein shakes. I also work out in our fitness center at school with my cheerleading coach.

What has been your biggest accomplishment to date?
My biggest accomplishment to date is overcoming my fear of falling again in stunting. After my concussion, I would not go back in the air. Now I am on top of every pyramid we do. I feel it’s because I have loved cheerleading all my life.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
My most embarrassing moment was last year at the first home football game. My stunt partner and I were stunting during a time out. I was looking into the stands and saw the guy who I had a crush on. Well I wasn't in the air for long because I fell backwards out of the stunt and landed on my head on the running track. Which I then went to the hospital for because I had a concussion. Everyone said that I had "fallen in love."

Who am I?
I am a 2005 graduate of Manchester Academy and a 2007 graduate of Holmes Community College. I have for the past ten years cheered. I cheered at Holmes for the past two years. I was Miss Teen Yazoo City and Miss Yazoo City. I love to run and work out all the time. My favorite snack has to be Oreos! They are the best thing ever! I like to make others happy even when I am upset. I do everything I can to be friends with everyone. I am a very shy person at first but once I get to know someone I can be their best friend.

I love spending time with my Dad. We have never been as close as we are now. I have always been a Mommy's girl. He knows now that it is not all about his money. Just Kidding! My Dad is the best and so precious! When I am not spending time with my family, I am with my friends and mostly my cheerleading squad. My roommate is amazing. Kari and I have become best friends this year. I also have become close with my suitemates, Jill and Malorie, and not to mention my friend Sarah. Cheering for the Holmes basketball team is awesome. State Champs for two years in a row!! Go Dawgs!

Tell us about your platform.
The reason I have chosen my platform of "Bridging the Generation Gap", is because ever since I was a small child my grandmother would take me to the nursing home to visit my Great Grandmother. The night she passed away, December 23, 2006, I had seen her only ten hours before. I was able to pray with her and now I know she left in peace.

Now I go to the nursing home to visit the residents. I help with arts and crafts and read to them. They touch my heart so dear and I feel I have a special bond with them. This is something I could not live without. In my future, I see myself working with the elders as a physical therapist to help them become more mobile.
